Acceptable Use

Rotor runs entirely on your machine, has no server and reports nothing to us. We therefore have no ability to observe how you use the extension and no mechanism to stop you. This policy is about the things we do operate: this website, the support inbox, the issue tracker, and any licence key we issue.

• Use a licence key, or the licensing system, in a way designed to obtain paid capabilities without paying for them — including publishing a key for others to use.
• Redistribute a modified build under a name or icon that suggests it is the official Rotor. The GPL gives you every right to fork and redistribute; trademark law and plain honesty ask you to rename it when you do.
• Use this site, the support inbox or the issue tracker to send spam, malware, or content that is unlawful.
• Attempt to disrupt this site or the accounts of other users of our services, or probe them beyond the safe-harbour terms on our security page.
• Use the Software to obtain unauthorised access to accounts that are not yours. It generates codes from secrets you supply; supplying someone else's is your problem with the law, not a feature.

Where a rule above is broken through something we operate, our remedies are limited to what we actually control: declining support, revoking a key for future issuance, or blocking access to this site. We cannot and will not disable an installed copy of the extension. That is a consequence of having no server, and we consider it a feature.
