Activate a licence

Last updated: 9 August 2026

There is nothing to activate on this page

Rotor has no activation server. This page cannot check your key, because there is no service here that could — and building one would mean the extension made a network request, which is the one thing it is built never to do.

How activation actually works

  1. Buy a licence. Your key arrives by email from our merchant of record.
  2. Open Rotor, go to Settings → Licence, and paste the key.
  3. The extension verifies the key's signature offline, against a public key compiled into the build. It takes milliseconds and works with the network disconnected.
  4. The key is stored locally. Paid capabilities unlock immediately; nothing is reported anywhere.

Because verification is a signature check rather than a lookup, we cannot see that you activated, cannot count your machines, and cannot switch your copy off. Those are the same property viewed from three sides.

What a key covers

The 1.x release line, and only capabilities added after version 1.0. Everything that shipped in 1.0 works without a key, forever, and always will — so if you are here because a feature stopped working, a licence is almost certainly not the answer and we would like to hear about it.

Nothing is on sale yet

Paid tiers are published but checkout is not open, so there are currently no keys to activate. This page exists now so that the mechanism is documented before the first key is issued rather than after.

Lost your key?

Email support@dfacto.ai from the address you purchased with and we will resend it. We can reissue a licence key; we can never recover a vault passphrase.
